For The People Of Crawley
-
We are Church Coffee. We hope by selling great coffee, developing relationships with those in our community and being a visible presence of Church, we will build links, break down barriers and create opportunities to share stories and invite people to all that's going on at Church Crawley. Everyone loves coffee, right? Or perhaps a delicious hot chocolate, and of course a good ol' cuppa tea.
We're usually outside St John's from 10-11am and 5-6pm on the 1st and 3rd Sundays, or at St Richard's on Thursday afternoons, and we hope to be out and about more as time goes on and we have more baristas trained up! For more information, please get in touch.

Where our coffee comes from matters to us. With probation breakfast clubs already happening at Church we felt that supporting those in the criminal justice system was fitting. We are very proud to serve The Block coffee from Redemption Roasters, roasted inside HMP The Mount. At the core of their mission they create opportunities for those in, or leaving, prison.
Inside The Mount, prison residents are employed and taught practical skills in coffee roasting, production and logistics which build confidence and improve self-esteem. Graduates leave with the skills they need for a career and are often offered a job in one of the 10 Redemption Roaster cafés in London. Each employee in the café has a case worker to help with issues that can reappear once back living in a community that may have caused the problems in the first place.
The coffee is sourced from different coffee growers around the world, many of whom were previously involved in conflict, crime or the drug trade and particular support is focused on the promotion of female coffee producers and indigenous groups, empowering people who are otherwise disadvantaged or disenfranchised.
